Analyzing Mad Men through Semiotics & Feminist Analysis

The below paper is a textual analysis of the last two episodes of the AMC series Mad Men. It was written as a final project for an American Popular Culture class. Using semiotics and feminist analysis, the paper establishes examples that demonstrate two of Mad Men’s dominant themes: personal growth & women's roles. The paper was presented at two academic conferences: the Southeastern Pennsylvania Consortium for Higher Education (SEPCHE) Honors Conference and the Mid-Atlantic Popular and American Culture Association (MAPACA) Conference. The slides were used during the conference presentations and serve as a visual compliment to the paper.
