Set in the summer of 2003, The Last Teenaged Summer is a post-911 coming-of-age novella by Angela Smith. The story is a work of fiction. Excerpts from the novella were featured in Holy Family University's literary journal, Folio, in 2015. Angela won Best Prose for her work. The excerpts are featured below.
A Perfect Dawn
A Perfect Dawn is a short story written by Angela for a Creative Nonfiction class (taught by author Liz Moore). The story is about Angela's honeymoon on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. When her husband loses his wedding ring during a surf lesson, a group of locals help the young couple in efforts to find it. The story was featured in Holy Family University's literary journal, Folio, in 2013.
Alpha and Omega
Alpha and Omega is a piece of gonzo journalism, inspired by the style of Hunter S. Thompson. It was written for a Creative Nonfiction class (taught by author Liz Moore). The piece centers around The Speedwell Forge Wolf Sanctuary in Lititz, PA.
